On Monday 9 March, the Senior School start-of-year assembly took place, marking the beginning of a new academic period for students. The ceremony also had special significance, as it included a commemoration of International Women’s Day.During the assembly, brief accounts were read about the lives and contributions of four outstanding Chilean women who have left their mark in different fields: art, literature, science and sport. Through their stories, the importance of effort, creativity and perseverance was highlighted, as well as the impact women have had on the country’s cultural and social development.As a symbolic gesture within the commemoration, one representative from each class gave analfajor to their female classmates, recognising their presence and value within the school community.
