On Wednesday 11 March, the Primary School start-of-year assembly was held, bringing together students and teachers to welcome a new period of learning and experiences.During the ceremony, International Women’s Day was also commemorated through an activity specially prepared by the students. Four pupils represented outstanding Chilean women who have left a mark on the country’s history: Gabriela Mistral, Michelle Bachelet, Christiane Endler and Violeta Parra.Dressed as each of these figures, the students shared brief accounts of their lives and achievements, highlighting their contributions in different fields such as literature, politics, sport and music. The activity helped introduce younger pupils to the history and legacy of women who have been examples of talent, effort and perseverance.
