In 1978, the Pedro de Valdivia Educational Network began with the founding of Pedro de Valdivia Pre-University. Created to provide young people with strong preparation for the academic and vocational challenges ahead, it quickly became a trusted educational benchmark, recognised for its quality, dedication, and commitment. This milestone laid the foundation for a network that would later expand its impact across new stages of learning.
In 1983, Pedro de Valdivia took a new step in its commitment to supporting more young people with the opening of its first school, Casa de Estudios Pedro de Valdivia. Located in central Santiago, the school extended the pre-university’s educational vision into a full school experience. With a comprehensive approach focused on academic achievement, values and personal growth, it laid the groundwork for the future development of the educational network.
The opening of our Las Condes campus in 1995 marked an important step in the growth of the Pedro de Valdivia Educational Network. It allowed our academic and educational project to reach a growing area of the city, while preserving the excellence and holistic support that define our approach.
The incorporation of the Peñalolén school in 1997 continued the process of expanding the network, bringing its educational project closer to new communities. This establishment reinforced the mission of offering a complete education, with high academic standards and emphasis on human development. The arrival at Peñalolén made it possible to serve students with diverse needs, maintaining a close, inclusive and growth-oriented approach.
In 1999, Providencia became part of the Pedro de Valdivia Educational Network, building on decades of educational experience. This milestone allowed us to offer an educational approach that combines academic excellence, socio-emotional development and a forward-looking vision.
From the beginning, Providencia has been defined by its close-knit community, personalised support and commitment to helping students grow with integrity, responsibility and the skills needed to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

We believe kindness is a core value that strengthens relationships and fosters a positive culture of coexistence across the whole community.
Through our Be Kind Seal, kindness is nurtured each day in the classroom and across all school activities as a cross-curricular competency. This approach promotes empathy, respect and inclusion, enriching both school life and learning. Being part of this community makes me as happy as seeing my children happy. I love the Be Kind approach - it is something that truly represents us as a family.
