On the afternoon of Friday 6 December, our Year 12 students took part in their final major event of school life: graduation.The ceremony began with the national anthem and the school anthem, followed by a beautiful speech from our Headmistress, María Teresa Villa, who spoke about the metaphor of bridges as the bonds and connections built over the years, before the presentation of diplomas began.Year 12 students from the music specialisation performedDie with a Smileby Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, together with music teacher Mónica Cortés and art teacher Joaquín Maldonado. Afterwards, all students who had attended the school since Pre-Kindergarten received theTrajectory Award.The following distinctions were then presented:Spirit of Solidarity,Effort and Perseverance,Artistic and Musical Skills,Sporting Spirit,Scientific-Mathematical Area(Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics),Humanities Area(History, Geography and Social Sciences, English, Philosophy, Language and Communication),Best Classmate,Outstanding Academic PerformanceandValdivian Spirit.As the ceremony drew to a close, representatives from each class gave a heartfelt speech to their classmates.The event officially ended with the form teachers calling the register for the last time.We wish our students every success in this new stage. We are confident that a bright future awaits them, full of happiness, learning and wonderful experiences.
