This International Learning Opportunity (ILO) brings together students from across the ISP network around the world through learning, strategy, and critical thinking. As a school, we celebrated this important achievement with an internal recognition ceremony, where each participating student received a certificate and a commemorative gift in acknowledgment of their outstanding participation, commitment, and growth throughout the competition.Beyond the tournament itself, Chess Masters helps students develop essential Life Competencies, strengthening skills such as problem-solving, strategic decision-making, perseverance in the face of challenges, and the ability to learn from every experience. Through chess, our students put curiosity, reflective thinking, and collaboration into practice while connecting with a global learning community. In the Individual Tournament, three students from our school qualified for the Game of the Stars (World Final), where they competed alongside 180 students from ISP schools around the world. We would especially like to recognize Matías, from Grade 7B, who achieved 10th place worldwide, and Alonso, from Grade 9C, who finished 23rd among all finalists across the ISP network. In the School Tournament, our teams also qualified for the World Final in both categories, demonstrating the value of teamwork, perseverance, and a strong chess culture:Junior Category (Grades 3–7)Senior Category (Grades 8–11)Both teams reached the World Final after successfully advancing through the regional stages, ultimately competing alongside the top ISP teams worldwide: 9 teams in the Junior category and 10 teams in the Senior category. We congratulate all of our students on this remarkable achievement. Their success represents far more than outstanding results—it reflects their willingness to embrace challenges, learn alongside others, and demonstrate how international learning opportunities empower their talents and prepare them for the future. We are incredibly proud of you all!
