Getting to Know My Emotions Workshop – Early Years School

During the week of August 10, the Early Years School Student Support Team held the “Getting to Know My Emotions”

17-08-2026

Workshop with Playgroup, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students. The activity was designed to support children in recognizing, expressing, and regulating their emotions through playful and meaningful experiences.

During the workshop, students participated in stories, songs, games, art activities, and reflection exercises, which helped them identify different emotions, recognize some of the situations that may trigger them, and explore different strategies to feel better and regain a sense of calm.

The workshop aimed to provide students with practical, age-appropriate tools that they can use both in the classroom and in everyday situations. In this way, children were able to gradually expand their emotional vocabulary and develop resources to better understand and manage their feelings.

Through experiences like this, we continue to support our students in developing skills that contribute to their well-being, independence, and positive relationships, recognizing that learning to understand our emotions is also a fundamental part of the learning process.
