On May 19, Middle School held its commemorative assembly, while on May 20, Primary School and Early Years School took part in their own celebrations.During the Middle School and Primary School assemblies, students dressed as historical figures shared with the community the context, history, and significance of this commemoration, explaining why we remember Navy Day and the legacy of those who played a key role in this important chapter of our nation’s history. The occasion also provided an opportunity to reflect on values that remain relevant today, highlighting the importance of acting for the benefit of others and having the courage to act despite fear. These reflections were connected to our school’s “Be Kind” ethos, which encourages us every day to build a community founded on empathy, respect, and commitment to others.Meanwhile, in Early Years School, students participated by wearing sailor hats, taking part in this commemoration in a fun and meaningful way through activities adapted to their stage of development.Through these experiences, our students not only learned about an important event in our history but also reflected on the values and lessons that continue to inspire us as an educational community.
