On Friday, October 2, a group of Senior School students visited the Santiago Justice Center as part of the "Participation and Argumentation in Democracy" elective course. This educational outing was conducted as part of the assessment process for a mock trial—an experience allowing students to apply knowledge and skills related to the workings of the justice system. During the visit, four students from outside the elective joined the group to provide support, taking on specific roles within the simulation and collaborating with their peers to ensure the activity ran smoothly and in an organized manner. The visit also gave them firsthand insight into the spaces where the criminal justice system operates, allowing them to engage with the various participants and dynamics involved. In this way, the experience bridged classroom learning with a real-world context, strengthening skills such as argumentation, civic participation, and collaborative teamwork, while deepening their understanding of how institutions function.
